Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also popularly referred to as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American performer, actress, singer also known as a comedian, host of a radio show and a comic. She was born in Mexico City, and was raised by the comedian Raul Vale. In 1973, she was credited for the creation of the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) musical genre which topped charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin artist to have sold two million copies throughout the United States. She met Venezuelan comic and singer Raul Vale in 1974. They married in April of 1975, the first wedding to be broadcast in Mexico.
